POSITION SUMMARY
The Onboarding Coordinator plays a vital role in welcoming new volunteers to Global Media Outreach’s online ministry. This administrative role involves processing applications, assessing applicants’ readiness to serve as Online Missionaries, and guiding them through the online training process. The ideal candidate will excel in written communication, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and thrive when managing concurrent processes and requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review applications, corresponding with applicants and references to ensure a warm welcome to GMO
- Process reactivation requests from former Online Missionaries, guiding them through the training process
- Utilize CRM and online learning system to track application status and training process
- Engage with trainees to deepen their understanding and monitor their progress
- Review trainee’s online exercises, coaching them on how to grow in their responses
- Place graduates in a volunteer community, communicating with their new leader to ensure a smooth transition
- Manage the application and training email inboxes, responding to inquiries within 1 business day
- Troubleshoot basic applicant/trainee technical issues, escalating issues as needed to the tech team
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years experience in an administrative role
- Enjoys learning and using new technologies
- Strong written communication skills, especially through email
- Proactive problem-solver and decision-maker with a detail-oriented approach to execution
- Experience working with a CRM or LMS a plus
- Passionate for the mission of Global Media Outreach and a heart for ministry
- Spiritual qualifications/maturity
- Statement of Faith
AVAILABILITY
- 18 hours per week
- Weekly team meeting
- 2 weekly meetings with supervisor and volunteer applications coordinator
- Other meetings around applications and training process
- 2 prayer calls per week at 10:30 am Central
- A schedule will be set with the supervisor to ensure availability for collaboration, meetings, and inbox response SLAs. Occasional adjustments may be requested with reasonable notice based on ministry needs.
