Global Media Outreach’s Chief Experience Officer Michelle Diedrich shares with Pastor and Influencer, Jesse Bradley, how her husband’s heart transplant has mirrored the spiritual experience of receiving a new heart from God and how we must guard our hearts in and through Christ.

Michelle has held multiple senior executive roles with Global Media Outreach since the ministry began in 2004. Before her ministry work, she held roles as CMO, VP of Marketing and worked as a consultant for multiple enterprise software, start-up companies and non-profit organizations. Her journalism career included serving as Executive Editor of Technology South and Atlanta Computer Currents.

With a background in technology and journalism, she loves finding new ways to share Jesus online. Most recently, God has been using Michelle and her husband, Mark ’s experience to speak to the hearts of others.

Michelle explains, “We just got back this weekend from my husband having a heart transplant. What God has shown through this journey has so many parallels to the Christian life that He is teaching us how to take that step out in faith.”

Mark needed a new heart due to amyloid creeping in and causing his heart to harden.

“He [Mark] looked good; he was working out. But inside, he was having all these issues. … Isn’t it funny how sin kind of works that way, too? It slowly creeps into your heart, and you don’t even know it. Then, all of a sudden, you start to see the result of that. We saw that with Mark’s heart, physically.”

Ezekiel 36:26 tells us, And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Michelle explains how, through the work at GMO, God rescues people from hardened hearts, giving them new life in Him. GMO shares Jesus online and disciples people who come to the organization, all online. In the last twenty years, over 2.7 billion people have heard the Gospel.

“Now, with online, with Meta, Google, and all of these platforms, people realize, oh, you really can reach billions of people that way. But when we started, there was no way you could do that. But no matter how big those numbers are, they represent a single person every single day who is finding Jesus online.”

GMO wants to be there to meet each person in their moment of need with the hope of Jesus. Through discipleship and a growing relationship with Christ, lives are being changed.
