Finding Gritty Gratitude

How can we thank God in all circumstances—even when those circumstances are hard, tragic, or just plain bad? Pastor Jesse Bradley offers insights.

Global Media Outreach has had the privilege of partnering with Pastor Jesse Bradley several times over the last 15 years. In 2023, he shared his powerful testimony as a former professional soccer player in a Gospel outreach campaign that ran during the World Cup. The campaign resulted in 480,000 indicated decisions to accept Christ!

Now, he’s sharing a message God has placed on his heart about gratitude.

Giving Thanks in All Circumstances

For a follower of Jesus, thanksgiving isn’t just a feeling of being grateful. Thanksgiving is not just something to do on a checklist. Thanksgiving is relational as we draw near to God.

But giving thanks in all circumstances can be tough. After all, who wants to rejoice when they’ve traded their career for an ongoing battle with a persistent illness? But that’s why gritty gratitude can be such a compelling evangelism tool. When we show our gratitude even in the midst of our challenges, it draws the attention of others—and gives us the opportunity to share why we are able to rejoice even in our suffering.

So how can we develop our own gritty gratitude? Follow Pastor Jesse’s advice in the video above and start doing “your 10” today!
