Global Media Outreach (GMO), the pioneer in digital evangelism, is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Marquart as Vice President of Technology. With a career defined by delivering enterprise-scale transformation at the intersection of data and strategy, Marquart joins GMO during a season of unprecedented growth and technological innovation.
As GMO pursues its 5-Star Strategy—a vision to facilitate 5 million discipleship journeys by 2033—Marquart will oversee engineering, data, and operational excellence across the ministry’s tech ecosystem. He will play a pivotal role in the evolution of PATH, the ministry’s proprietary communication platform that connects spiritual seekers with trained volunteers in real-time.
“Tim’s hiring is a direct answer to prayer for this ministry,” said Yvonne Carlson, Chief Technology Officer at GMO. “He is no stranger to our mission, having served on our Technology Advisory Board for the past two years. As we integrate redemptive AI and scale our systems to meet global demand, Tim’s background in complex delivery and AI-enabled systems is exactly what this season calls for. He knows how to build things that work at scale.”
Marquart comes to GMO following a distinguished tenure at Verizon, where he led award-winning transformations and advanced analytics for a global division supporting over $20 billion in supply chain operations. He holds dual master’s degrees from MIT, including an MBA from the Sloan School of Management.
“I have always enjoyed building systems that solve complex problems, but I am most excited when those systems serve a soul-centered purpose,” said Marquart. “I believe PATH could be one of the most important systems ever built because it connects people all over the world to the local body of Christ. I am eager to help make this platform everything it can be to ensure that anyone, anywhere has a path to know Jesus and grow in their faith.”
