POSITION SUMMARY

We are actively seeking a dedicated full-time Giving Partner Representative to assume the role assigned to mid-level ($500–$5,000 annually) donors. This role focuses on deepening the commitment and generosity of existing donors while ensuring every new and mid-level supporter feels personally appreciated and meaningfully connected to GMO’s mission.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, energized by connecting with people, and excited about making dozens of personal calls and emails each day leading to continued and increased giving in support of GMO’s work. While this position is remote, the candidate must also be available for limited travel to meet with strategic GMO Giving Partners in a handful of states.

Responsibility:

As a Giving Partner Representative, you will be pivotal in nurturing existing relationships and securing mid-level gifts in addition to making referrals to our Major Gift Officers in support of our mission. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Spiritual Care and Connection: Demonstrate a strong commitment to serving our giving partners through the dedicated prayer of their families and active engagement in daily staff prayer calls.
    • Donor Engagement: This position requires excellent interpersonal skills. Cultivating and managing giving partner relationships requires an extrovert who enjoys and finds energy in making calls, sending text or email communications and a willingness to cast vision of the organization in the process. The position will require initiating, building and maintaining strong relationships with individuals, family foundations, and business owners.
    • Major Gift Account Referrals: Develop and implement strategies to identify, communicate and eventually hand off anticipated major gift accounts to the team of Major Gift Officers to more strategically and effectively advance GMO’s initiatives.
    • State coverage: This position will be responsible to cultivate all Giving Partner accounts within a handful of assigned states where limited Major Giving Partners exist.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop and manage custom cultivation plans for top-tier assigned accounts. Similar to other members on the team, this position will manage custom fundraising plans tailored to the assigned giving partners related to their unique passions, potentials and opportunities.
    • Vision Communication: Effectively communicate GMO’s mission and vision to inspire and motivate prospective donors to become active supporters.
    • Stewardship: Ensure proper stewardship of donor relationships, fostering a culture of appreciation and long-term engagement.
  • Event Participation: Strategize potential Vision Gathering Events for assigned states, in addition to assisting the MGOs in any Community event where additional staff help is needed

Expertise:

  • Fundraising Territory: Contribute to the team’s success in securing donations and investments for the ministry by being responsible for an assigned caseload of accounts and small geographical territory.
  • Planned Giving Awareness: Familiarity with planned giving tools and strategies, supporting long-term sustainability efforts.
  • New Audience Engagement: Assist in identifying and engaging with new target audiences.
  • Sales Concepts Understanding: Familiarity with relational “moves management” fundraising strategies. Familiarity with Salesforce NPSP is a plus.
  • Networking Enthusiasm: Exhibit a personal passion for networking and relationship building.
  • Resource Management Forecasting: Collaborate in resource management efforts, contributing to accurate forecasting and efficient resource allocation.

Key Competencies:

  • Relationship Building: Contribute to building and maintaining deep, meaningful, and transparent relationships with giving partners.
  • Effective Communication: Assist in clearly and persuasively communicating the organization’s vision.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate interpersonal skills that align with Christian values and ethics, including active listening, attention to nonverbal cues, tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Denominational Sensitivity: Show respect for individuals of all Christian denominations.
  • Team Player: Be a supportive and collaborative member of the development team.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills to contribute effectively to the team’s efforts.
  • Effective Collaborator: Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and donors.
  • Data Accuracy: Strive to recognize and accomplish timely edits on data that needs updating within assigned accounts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Loves Jesus and expanding His Kingdom
  • Proven success in relational fundraising and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of planned giving tools and strategies is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Passion for GMO’s mission and values.
  • Proven adaptability – As a tech-based organization, it is necessary for each GMO team member to adapt and learn new tools as technology evolves.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the US (limited…assigned as needed).
  • Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
