POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Advertising Specialist helps advance this vision by planning, executing, and optimizing digital ad campaigns that reach seekers worldwide with clarity, compassion, and excellence. This role is part of GMO’s Outreach Team and collaborates with Language Teams, Creative Teams, and Data Teams to ensure paid media efforts align with our ministry goals and support the Seeker Journey.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faith Alignment:
- Agreement to sign the organization’s Statement of Faith and abide by biblical principles
Campaign Management
- Plan, build, and manage paid media campaigns in alignment with the Director of Outreach’s strategy and direction.
- Apply sound judgment in optimizing campaigns and testing approaches within established goals, budgets, and ministry guidelines.
- Ensure campaigns launch on time, meet performance and ministry objectives, and reflect theological and cultural excellence.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to support optimization and timely issue resolution.
- Test new ad technologies and AI tools to increase efficiency and reach, in coordination with leadership and data partners.
Data, Reporting & Optimization
- Monitor daily/weekly performance data to identify optimization opportunities and prevent issues early.
- Optimize campaigns toward KPIs such as reach, engagement, quality traffic, and decisions for Christ.
- Collaborate with the Data Analyst to understand user behavior and refine targeting.
- Maintain documentation, dashboards, processes, and learnings for organizational scalability.
Operational Excellence
- Troubleshoot technical issues across platforms, tracking, and creative delivery.
- Participate in regular Outreach Team planning and cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Model excellent stewardship of ministry resources by continually improving cost-efficiency and campaign quality.
Job Requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with PPC best practices, landing page strategy, and A/B testing.
- Ability to think strategically but execute with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of paid media platforms, tracking, data interpretation, and optimization workflows.
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented—able to adapt quickly and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communicator who can collaborate across diverse teams, cultures, and languages.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing paid media across search, display, social, and video.
- Experience with large or multi-language ad budgets and performance-driven optimization.
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards and data-driven decision making.
- Interest in AI tools, automation, and emerging technology.
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with GMO’s ministry mission.
- A passion for digital evangelism and reaching people around the world with the gospel.
- Ability and willingness to affirm and sign GMO’s Statement of Faith and adhere to its ministry values.
