About Global Media Outreach: Global Media Outreach is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to leveraging technology to invite all people to know Jesus Christ as Savior and grow in a personal relationship with Him. We are committed to using innovative digital tools to reach people across the globe and provide resources for spiritual growth.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated PR intern to join our team. The PR intern will play a crucial role in helping us identify media opportunities, build and maintain a media database, schedule interviews, create media kits, draft press releases, and manage our social media channels. This position is ideal for a college student majoring in Public Relations who is passionate about using their skills to make a global impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Media Opportunities: Identify and evaluate potential media opportunities across various platforms including print, radio, TV, and podcasts.
- Media Database Management: Build and maintain a comprehensive media database for press releases and other outreach efforts.
- Schedule Interviews: Coordinate and schedule interviews with media outlets.
- Create Media Kits: Develop and assemble media kits to support GMO’s outreach initiatives.
- Draft Press Releases: Write and edit press releases to promote GMO’s activities and initiatives.
- Social Media Management: Assist in managing and running GMO’s social media channels, including content creation and engagement.
- Press Page Management: Help manage and update the press page of our website with the latest news and information.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with media representatives.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for GMO’s mission and a desire to use technology to share the gospel and support spiritual growth.
