Global Media Outreach Grows World Evangelism Program With New Discipleship Site
Los Gatos, Ca. (January 4, 2007) – Global Media Outreach (GMO), an Internet ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, announced today a new discipleship site, www.LookToJesus.com.
The site provides follow-up material to meet the needs of those who indicate a decision for Christ through Global Media Outreach’s evangelistic websites.
LooktoJesus includes information on the Holy Spirit; basic concepts that new Christians can use in their journey with Christ; links to church finders; signups for online small groups; and other information. LookToJesus is in English now, with future plans to have multiple language sites patterned after it.
In December, Global Media Outreach also began sending a 30 day guide to new believers. New believers receive a daily e-mail for 30 days starting the day after they first fill out a response form. The 30 day guide, entitled "Next Steps", is written by John Beckett, who is a committed Christian and author of the Global Media Outreach website "Life's Greatest Question."
“The ministry’s goal with this site and others is to ‘make disciples of all nations’," said Mark Weimer, CEO of Global Media Outreach. “Global Media Outreach wants every person to have multiple opportunities to experience the gospel and to grow as a Christian. With the Look To Jesus website, new Christians can begin a life transforming journey as followers of Jesus Christ.”
