Behind The Scenes.

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at GMO? Well, three of our interns, Jonathan, Jake, and Sarah are here with their view of work the past few weeks:

Hey! its Jonathan. These past two weeks have been full of fun and work. The GMO culture is really different from what I've expected to be - a fellowship and community in Christ rather than a business hierarchy. We are literally co-workers working in the harvest (Matthew 9:37), which is really amazing because our different skills, personalities, and backgrounds are being used to glorify God in a professional context. I'm currently working on developing a new marketing campaign that will help others get involved in online missions. The task sometimes seems overwhelming considering all the components needed. I'm humbled by all my co-workers and their willingness to always listen and help. I'm learning how to manage my time and prioritize projects we've been assigned. Aside from developing the marketing campaign, I've been analyzing GMO's website through Google Analytics and develop ways to improve it. I can't wait to finish these projects and continue learning!

Hi friends, its Sarah! Geeze, I don’t even know where to start! I have never experienced such exponential growth in my spiritual, emotional, and professional life at the same time! There is so much going on here everyday, but one of the projects I am most excited about is the marketing campaign Jake and I are working on. Each of us interns was given the opportunity to write up a creative brief for a campaign theme to engage people in online missions. After a lot of brainstorming and bouncing some crazy ideas off each other, Jake and I came up with what we thought was a pretty solid campaign. Michelle, our CMO, decided that our concept would actually be a great theme for the GMO corporate presentation! She is giving us the most amazing opportunity to implement our ideas. Its so neat that all the GMO staff have so much trust in our ideas and have faith in us executing each of them! This work environment is so much more inviting and encouraging than I think any of us expected it to be. Our God is so great!

Hey, it’s Jake. After a couple of weeks working here at GMO, I am reminded every single day of the amazing God that we serve. His blessings just seem to pour out when we admit we need His help. I have been learning so much more about God, myself, and about my area of study in these past few weeks than I have in my entire life. Something that I would like to share that I’ve been learning lately is simply surrendering everything to God. Giving Him every area of my life. It is an amazing relief and sense of freedom to lift the burdens off of my shoulders and to lay them at His feet and trust Him to lead me in the right direction. I’m very blessed to be apart of what GMO is doing all over the planet and thank God everyday for this blessing.
